As a Country Legal Specialist in Bengaluru, India, you will assist the Country Legal Manager in overseeing all legal aspects of the business and operations. This role requires a Master's degree in law and at least 12 years of experience, particularly in real estate and leasing for retail and office spaces.

Ansvarsområden

  • Assist Country Legal Manager to lead, review, support, and secure the legal aspects of all businesses and operations in the assigned Ingka country.
  • Actively cooperate with Group Legal & Governance and contribute to the Business Plan and development projects.
  • Support management and stakeholders to run the IKEA business, secure rights, and assess obligations to reduce legal risks and optimize business opportunities.
  • Keep the business updated on relevant international and local legal and governance developments.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements and legal documents.
  • Develop competence and provide education to stakeholders in laws and regulations.
  • Implement standard processes and ways of working for the legal area in the Ingka Group.

Krav

  • University Degree/Master's degree in law with a strong academic record.
  • Minimum 12 years of professional experience in legal and governance functions.
  • Significant exposure to real estate and leasing for retail and office spaces.
  • Proven experience in reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing a broad spectrum of legal agreements and documentation related to real estate transactions and lease management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal matters clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information from multiple sources to support sound legal and business decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of achieving balanced and commercially viable outcomes for diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic business environment while providing practical and solution-oriented legal guidance.
