Become a Cost & Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in Gothenburg, Sweden, driving industrial efficiency by optimizing mechanical designs for lean production, cost-effectiveness, and quality. You will lead advanced manufacturing strategies, support design and procurement with cost estimations, and ensure scalable production of new technologies.

Ansvarsområden

  • Apply DfX to reduce costs and complexity in mechanical development.
  • Provide reliable cost estimations to support design and purchasing decisions.
  • Lead the strategy and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes like Additive Manufacturing, Composites, and Friction Stir Welding.
  • Define industrialization strategies for new mechanical technologies for scalable and cost-effective production.
  • Work to reduce part count, assembly complexity, and lead times while maintaining high quality.
  • Guide the selection of optimal manufacturing processes and develop modular mechanical design standards.
  • Benchmark industrial practices from other high-tech sectors to maintain competitiveness.

Krav

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and DfX methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex designs and identify efficient production solutions.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to build strong partnerships across Engineering, Procurement, Suppliers, and Production.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to balance technical requirements with cost and supply chain considerations.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Cost Engineering, or a similar role.
  • Must pass a security vetting.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience working with ISO standards.
  • Experience with Saab's products and/or defense industry.
