Sandvik Mining is looking for a Contract Supervisor - M1 in Swakopmund, Namibia. This role is responsible for the profitability and growth of the rock tools business and establishing commercial contracts administration. The ideal candidate will have a technical qualification, supervisory experience, and at least 5 years of experience in maintenance and the mining environment.

Ansvarsområden

Manage the GET contract and ensure cost effectiveness.
Plan, prioritize, and schedule the team’s activities.
Monitor contract activities to identify problem areas and improve performance.
Liaise with functional or operational area managers to ensure integration of contract activities.
Ensure effective revenue and profitability of contracts.
Take a responsible approach to health, safety, and environment risks.
Manage subordinates effectively.
Maintain effective customer relations.
Ensure cost effectiveness and EHS effectiveness.
Render service to Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions clients on and off mine site.

Krav

Matric/N3 technical qualification/equivalent qualification.
Certificate of Competence in GET maintenance.
At least 5 years’ experience in maintenance and mining environment.
Physical & medical ability to function in a surface mining environment.
Strong EHS focus.
Computer literacy.
Intermediate MS Excel and PowerPoint skill.
English proficiency.
Valid driver’s license.

Önskade kvalifikationer

At least 2-year Management/Supervisory experience will be advantageous.
Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
Good understanding of drilling equipment and drilling consumables.
Track system knowledge will be advantageous.
Strong Leadership and people management.
Based in Swakopmund.
Namibian Citizen will be advantageous.
