Microsoft ISD is seeking a Solution Architecture People Manager to lead teams in driving digital and AI transformations for strategic customers. This role involves people management, understanding customer technical environments, and guiding architecture design and deployment to achieve business outcomes. The position requires extensive experience in technology solutions, practice development, and leadership.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead and mentor teams to achieve customer and partner success through empowerment and accountability.
  • Gather and propagate customer/partner insights to shape project execution and map solutions to business outcomes.
  • Socialize business solutions and project approaches with stakeholders, managing changes and facilitating feedback.
  • Drive internal advocacy by sharing insights with Product Engineering teams and guiding escalations.
  • Hold teams accountable for leveraging existing architecture approaches and developing new scalable solutions.
  • Govern fiscal responsibilities, ensuring projects stay within budget and managing engagement profitability and risk.
  • Guide teams in defining and documenting architecture, communicating value propositions, and discussing cost-based and technology-based solutions.
  • Promote a business-value approach focused on ROI and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with other managers to govern the design, build, and deployment of proofs of concept (POCs) and pilots.
  • Provide end-to-end governance, oversight, and thought leadership within assigned accounts.
  • Gather and ratify requirements and constraints with business sponsors and customer/partner stakeholders.
  • Oversee development and execution of test plans to ensure requirements are met.
  • Create a culture of technical insights and escalations, ensuring projects move forward and anticipating/resolving blockers.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Account Teams to identify, categorize, and communicate business and technical risks, defining mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Generate and improve intellectual property, addressing organization- and industry-wide gaps and needs.
  • Develop a deep network of internal/external relationships with senior-level decision makers at customers/partners.
  • Act as an advisor to external stakeholders and facilitate relationships between others.
  • Stay up-to-date on Microsoft technologies, products, and services.
  • Use evidence-based arguments to articulate complex concepts simply and challenge the status quo when necessary.
  • Drive awareness of partner challenges, industry trends, and competitor architectures.
  • Foster community sharing of learnings and leverage of pre-existing resources.
  • Initiate and drive external architect community events.
  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years' experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security).
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security).
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years technical sales experience.
  • 8+ years project management experience.
  • 4+ years managing multiple, complex projects or portfolios.
  • 2+ years experience leading blended, multidisciplinary teams.
  • 5+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, and/or technical architect managers.
  • Technical or Professional Certification in Domain (e.g., Security).
