Microsoft's Data Center Delivery team seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead safe, on-schedule, and within-budget data center construction and integration. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery of critical infrastructure for Microsoft's global cloud and AI platform.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead and support data center construction and integration activities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.
  • Oversee project execution, review technical designs, and evaluate risks.
  • Drive data-based decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate resources, monitor contractor performance, and manage project metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
  • Mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety.
  • Manage approved project budgets, including PERs, PSRs, Change Orders, and Pay Applications.
  • Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to improve processes and increase efficiencies.
  • Attend and advise during project meetings, advocating for a security-first mindset.
  • Facilitate the delivery of local projects by making timely decisions.
  • Champion team and project goals, adhering to business processes.
  • Apply best practices for cost-effective solutions and negotiation skills.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain corporate vision and goals.
  • Confirm scoped resources are available and procure additional materials as needed.
  • Provide key input on data center fit-out activities.
  • Provide project data supporting cost and KPI metrics, invoices, processes, and policies.
  • Report on project progress regarding scope, schedule, standards, and budget.
  • Develop risk mitigation activities and communicate metrics.
  • Represent Microsoft as a safety leader and advocate, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA).
  • Conduct routine safety, security, project, and contractor audits.
  • Review engineering documentation/designs and identify potential risks/gaps.
  • Monitor vendor and/or contractor performance.
  • Assist with preparing RFPs and other project approval tools.

Krav

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years experience working on data center projects.
