Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is seeking a Construction Metro Director (M6) to lead construction project management for datacenter and campus projects in North Rhine-Westphalia. The role involves overseeing project teams, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets are met, and managing vendors and budgets.

Ansvarsområden

  • Oversees the deployment of large-scale, campus, and/or regionally-based delivery solutions (e.g., new and/or retrofit data center solutions).
  • Sets goals for internal and external project teams, delegates responsibilities, measures performance against KPIs, and delivers feedback.
  • Analyzes and recommends innovative delivery options utilizing best practices and trends.
  • Manages and advocates for safe worksites by adhering to organizational and industry procedures.
  • Reviews prior audit results and relevant legislation to recommend and manage safety compliance.
  • Establishes, reviews, approves, and communicates risk mitigation goals and develops metrics to drive progress.
  • Directs and oversees the management of vendors, ensuring compliance with contracts and prior audit results.
  • Controls vendor performance relative to cash flow and budget summaries.
  • Develops, manages, and reports on the scope, schedule, and budget of the project.
  • Oversees and implements project controls in work activities (e.g., project expenditure requests (PERs), Professional Service Requests (PSRs), change orders, and pay applications).

Krav

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND significant related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience working on large scale construction in similar field to Data Center
  • Solid experience working on data center projects.
  • Solid project management experience.
  • Solid people management experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
