ABB is seeking a Commissioning Engineer for their Robotics business in Bangalore, India. The role involves on-site robot debugging, system commissioning, functional programming, and process debugging within paint shop projects. Requires a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Paint technology, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years of relevant experience.

Ansvarsområden

  • Manage and monitor paint shop projects until Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) is obtained.
  • Achieve and maintain paint process parameters such as DFT, gloss, and color values.
  • Support underbody coating and spray applications.
  • Program and debug industrial robots for applications like spraying, gluing, flaming, blowing, wiping, and film thickness detection.
  • Perform robot disassembly and maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain vision measuring systems.
  • Independently perform robot simulations for new model introductions.

Krav

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Paint technology/Chemical engineering/Mechanical.
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in Automation & Paint shops.
  • Ability to perform robot system commission, functional program module writing, process debugging and problem handling.
  • In-depth knowledge of Atomizers/Spray gun and gluing, flaming, blowing, wipe, film thickness detection.
  • Familiar with Sealant equipment like ABB IDFP, Graco PCF, SCA Dozer.
  • Knowledge of Powder coating/Solvent borne paints/water borne paint.
