Microsoft is seeking a CO+I CE Field Service Engineer to manage data center operations and ensure critical environment availability in fully on-site roles. This position involves overseeing mechanical and electrical equipment, implementing efficiency initiatives, and adhering to safety and security policies. A Bachelor's degree and industry experience are required.

Ansvarsområden

  • Ensures compliance with data center business units and service-level policies.
  • Manages programs associated with area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrates conscientiousness on cost adherence to budget requirements.
  • Follows and adheres to safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Maximizes Critical Environment (CE) availability in conjunction with landlord partners.
  • Oversees day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Reduces high-impact and human-error Critical Environment (CE) incidents.
  • Delivers on cost/energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Supports delivery of the Datacenter’s Emergency Preparedness and Response plans.
  • Coordinates, plans, schedules, and supervises CE audits and compliance verification.
  • Ensures routine reporting for Power/Temperature/Relative Humidity, and SLA monitoring.
  • Establishes and enhances working relationships with Engineering Groups (EGs), and Landlord partners.
  • Works with regional and global peers to share best practices.
  • Shares best practices and mentors others in role, process, and procedures.
  • Seeks training opportunities that meet business and career goals.
  • Suggests improvements in implementation based on depth of understanding.
  • Holds self accountable for end-to-end service quality, completeness, and customer experience.
  • Supports escalation of issues to appropriate owner.

Krav

  • Bachelors Degree AND 2+ year(s) industry experience in a datacenter or other critical environment facility, OR 3+ years industry experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • 3+ years’ experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU).
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical College certification in mechanical or electrical engineering and/or services.
  • Experience working on large scale CE projects.
  • Experience with the operation of IT infrastructure (Servers, SANs, Networking, etc.).
