Vattenfall is seeking a Cloud Engineer to strengthen their cloud operations team. This role involves ensuring a stable and evolving cloud platform, focusing on cloud networking, automation, scripting, and security. The position is based in Amsterdam, Berlin, Katowice, or Stockholm.

Ansvarsområden

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based network architectures.
  • Automate network infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like PowerShell, Bicep / Arm.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues in cloud environments.
  • Write scripts in Powershell, Bash.
  • Create and maintain automation based on scripts using e.g. REST.
  • Use tools like ARM templates, Bicep but also Ansible or DSC for configuration management.
  • Troubleshoot OS issues with Windows and Linux.
  • Ensure proper usage of tagging, permission handling, naming and policies.
  • Support platform audits.
  • Manage and react on alerts from Azure Security Center.
  • Guide projects together with IT security for secure implementation.
  • Manage Azure DevOps (create project rooms, licenses management, feature enablement).
  • Handle backlogs.

Krav

  • Academic Degree in IT, engineering, science or mathematics.
  • Experience with cloud services.
  • Experience in a large international environment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Be able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to translate complicated technical matters into simple understandable language.
  • A broad and versatile profile with one or several areas of deeper technical knowledge.
  • Specialist willing to develop to a T-Shaped Cloud Specialist with a background in network.
  • Understanding of Cloud-onPrem connectivity (ExpressRoute, MPLS, BGP).
  • Knowledge in designing and operating Next Gen Firewall Environments, ideally Check Point.
  • Having a good understanding of the cloud financial model and the TCO.
  • Giving advice on cloud consumption.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Interested in new technologies and a fast learner.
  • T-shaped skill profile, with expertise on Network in Cloud environments.
  • Basic understanding of OS, Backup, Security, Databases, Web, Azure PaaS Services.
  • Ability to code and/or script.
  • Ability to let go of traditional way of working and be open for a fast changing and developing environment.
  • Social competence and understanding of business needs.
  • Drive to improve and develop, open to suggestions but also capable of giving own.
