Vattenfall is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their Digital Platform Operation Team in Berlin. The role focuses on ensuring a stable and evolving cloud platform, with specific responsibilities in cloud networking, automation, scripting, OS support, governance, financial analysis, and security within an Azure environment. The ideal candidate will have an academic degree in IT or a related field, experience with cloud services, and strong networking expertise.

Ansvarsområden

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based network architectures.
  • Automate network infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues.
  • Write scripts in Powershell, Bash, and manage automation using REST.
  • Utilize configuration management tools like ARM templates, Bicep, Ansible, or DSC.
  • Troubleshoot OS issues with Windows and Linux.
  • Ensure proper usage of tagging, permission handling, naming, and policies.
  • Provide advice on cloud consumption and financial models.
  • Manage and react to alerts from Azure Security Center.
  • Manage Azure DevOps projects, licenses, and feature enablement.
  • Handle backlog items.

Krav

  • Academic Degree in IT, engineering, science or mathematics.
  • Expertise in Network in Cloud environments.
  • Ability to code and/or script.
  • Experience with cloud services.
  • Experience in a large international environment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to translate complicated technical matters into simple understandable language.
  • Broad and versatile profile with one or several areas of deeper technical knowledge.
  • Background in network.
  • Understanding of Cloud-onPrem connectivity (ExpressRoute, MPLS, BGP).
  • Knowledge in designing and operating Next Gen Firewall Environments, ideally Check Point.

  • Basic understanding of OS, Backup, Security, Databases, Web, Azure PaaS Services.
