Microsoft Edge is seeking a Chief of Staff to support the Corporate Vice President and leadership team. This role focuses on translating strategic priorities into operating mechanisms, driving business and people operations, and contributing to product strategy. The position requires strong operational, financial, and product acumen, with a hybrid work model requiring 4 days in the Redmond, WA office.
Ansvarsområden
- Translate product and business priorities into execution plans, clear accountability, and cross-team operating mechanisms.
- Run the Edge leadership operating rhythm: leadership meetings, business reviews, planning checkpoints, decision forums, and follow-through.
- Connect strategy to how the organization behaves - what it measures, how it prioritizes, how decisions get made - using lightweight mechanisms, trackers, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Drive people and organizational priorities: talent planning, team health, leadership effectiveness, culture and morale, and sensitive people or process issues.
- Shape executive communications and prepare the CVP and Edge Leadership Team for SLT reviews, Town Halls, kickoffs, and demo showcases.
- Lead special projects that demand structured problem solving, cross-functional coordination, and executive synthesis.
- Own annual and quarterly OPEX, COGS, and headcount planning with Finance and HR, driving investment tradeoffs, forecasting, spend tracking, and cost efficiency.
- Directly manage and have responsibility for a business management and program management team.
Krav
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.
- Required to be local to the greater Seattle area and in office 4 days a week.

- Master's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 12+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field AND 15+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience running operations for a large or complex organization, including planning, budgets, forecasting, and rhythm of business.
- Experience partnering with senior and executive leaders and driving complex cross-functional programs to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready synthesis, narrative building, and meeting facilitation.
- Strong business and financial acumen, including budget, investment, headcount planning, and forecasting.
- Ability to understand product strategy, customer needs, business dynamics, and organizational constraints.
- High judgment, discretion, and maturity in handling sensitive business, people, and organizational topics.
- Experience working in or adjacent to browser, consumer software, AI, search, platform, or large-scale product organizations.
- Fluency using AI tools to scale operational, analytical, and communications work.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements as required for this role.
Förmåner
- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year.
- For San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
