This contractual role at Amazon's Disability & Leave Services team in Hyderabad focuses on providing comprehensive case management for employees' leave of absence, disability, and accommodation needs. The Case Manager serves as a single point of contact, ensuring adherence to policies and laws while supporting employees through various life events and facilitating their return to work.

Ansvarsområden

Initiate and respond to inquiries about leave and disability events, benefits, and options.
Serve as a point of contact for assigned employees, reviewing medical documentation to adjudicate leaves in compliance with leave plans, federal and state laws, and benefit plans.
Leverage duration guidelines and best practice tools to support oversight of leave events.
Critically assess and adjust case management plans to an employee’s changing needs.
Address and respond to sensitive situations and troubleshoot issues.
Respond to employee impacting issues during leave events and ensure proper communication.
Identify and solve problems, sometimes with limited information.
Facilitate a smooth return to work and ramp-back plan for employees.
Educate managers and business partners on employee concerns and needs.
Communicate regular updates to employees and stakeholders verbally and in writing.
Ensure compliance with standard work, federal/state regulations, and company policy.
Maintain system records for accurate and timely information/documentation.
Consult, coordinate, and partner with third-party administrators, HR, Safety, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and other departments/systems.

Krav

Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a related field.
1+ years of customer service experience OR a Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a related field.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Fluent in English (speak, write, and read).

Experience identifying and resolving complex issues.
Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams across geographies and business units.
Experience with end-to-end ownership of major project deliverables.
Experience working with and protecting confidential and sensitive HR information.
Basic knowledge of US legislation for Leave of Absence, Disability, and/or Accommodations, specifically ADA/ADAAA and FMLA.
Prior Leave and/or Accommodations experience, including work in a leave of absence and/or disability claim management role, using case management systems, reviewing cases for eligibility, determining appropriate pay benefits, and establishing/executing a case management plan.
Experience providing guidance to employees or managers on leave of absence, disability plans, accommodations, human resources, benefits, or employee matters.
Experience working multiple projects or cases independently in an environment with changing priorities.
