As a Cart Attendant at IKEA, you will ensure an enjoyable shopping experience by providing efficient cart services, maintaining store tools, and addressing customer needs. This part-time role involves supporting various customer service areas and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and efficient car loading and/or unloading services.
- Keep the loading zone clean by clearing away straps, excess carts, and cardboard.
- Ensure all physical shopping tools (carts, pencils, bags, maps, twine) are adequately stocked and maintained.
- Fill physical shopping tools at closing.
- Monitor the condition of physical and digital shopping tools, report IT issues, and remove unsafe tools.
- Address customer needs and resolve issues independently, escalating when necessary.
- Support in other customer service areas such as Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), Exchanges & Returns, and Click & Collect.
- Provide a simple and efficient handout experience in FSHO.
- Ensure products and equipment are properly staged when supporting Returns.
- Create a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate order handoff in Click & Collect.
- Contribute to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality.
Requirements
- Must be able to work nights & weekends.
- Lifting up to 50lbs.
- Walking frequently.
- Working outdoors 50% of the time.
