Qualcomm is seeking a CAD/EDA Methodology Engineer in Bangalore to develop and maintain automation tools for ASIC Front-End design. The role involves analyzing and improving design workflows, implementing software solutions, and collaborating with design teams.

Ansvarsområden

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automation tools and infrastructure supporting ASIC Front-End design flows.
  • Analyze existing design workflows and propose solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and usability.
  • Implement software-based solutions using Python, Perl, C++, or similar programming languages.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in CAD tools, scripts, and automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with design and CAD teams to understand requirements and deliver effective automation solutions.
  • Support internal customers by enabling adoption of existing and newly developed tools.
  • Contribute to documentation, tool validation, and continuous improvement of engineering methodologies.
  • Explore and evaluate AI/ML-based approaches to enhance EDA tools and front-end design productivity.

Krav

  • 0-1 year of experience in CAD/EDA automation, software development, or RTL design.
  • Strong programming skills in Python (preferred), Perl, C++, or similar languages.
  • Good understanding of software development fundamentals, debugging, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to analyze requirements and design practical software solutions.
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments and scripting is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Basic understanding of ASIC Front-End design flow and RTL concepts is desirable.
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts and their application in engineering workflows is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Must hold a B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech degree in Electronics/VLSI stream.
