The Buyer will manage the operational procurement process for multiple suppliers, focusing on strategic and tactical procurement support and ensuring timely availability of materials. Key responsibilities include creating and modifying purchase orders, conferring with suppliers, reviewing bid proposals, and resolving procurement-related issues. The role requires a college degree or equivalent experience, strong communication skills in English, good time management, and proficiency in MS-Office.

Ansvarsområden

Create and modify purchase orders in accordance with established policies and procedures, considering customer orders, ERP demand, inventory, safety stock levels, and lead times.
Ensure timely placement and management of Direct Purchase orders with selected vendors.
Confer with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedules.
Review bid proposals within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
Contact suppliers with discrepancies of quantity and quality, enforcing Emerson’s PO terms and conditions.
Interface with all departments and resolve procurement-related problems and issues.
Act as a liaison between assigned suppliers and internal departments.
Review open PO reports, check order status, and modify quantities or due dates.
Contribute to the Strategic Sourcing, Procurement mission and vision in line with Global Supply Chain guidance.
Maintain ERP Data, including Info records, replenishment time, and order acknowledgement.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for optimal performance.
Communicate efficiently.

Krav

College degree or equivalent work experience is preferred, technical and business oriented.
Team player with strong communication skills in English is essential.
Good time management, ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
Commercial awareness and good judgement.
Result driven and analytically minded.
Strong user skills in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Power BI).
Motivated to develop yourself.

Önskade kvalifikationer

German knowledge is an advantage.
SAP MM package knowledge.
Mechanical knowledge/degree.
