Emerson is looking for a Buyer 2 in Escazú, Costa Rica, to lead strategic sourcing and procurement for global projects. This hybrid role involves collaborating with teams and suppliers to manage procurement activities, negotiate terms, and ensure project success with a focus on quality and risk management.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead sourcing activities for project-related materials, equipment, and services.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with project requirements.
  • Conduct supplier sourcing events and evaluate proposals.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements.
  • Manage procurement activities throughout the procure-to-pay lifecycle.
  • Create, administer, and maintain purchase orders, contracts, and change orders.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address potential risks.
  • Partner with project management, engineering, operations, and other teams.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with Emerson policies and trade regulations.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, International Commerce, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or project procurement.
  • Experience managing supplier sourcing activities and supporting commercial negotiations.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities in project-based environments.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards).
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience supporting global procurement activities across multiple regions or business units.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, supplier relationship management, and total cost of ownership.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, automation, or project-based environments.
  • Familiarity with contract administration and supplier performance management.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Ability to assess and mitigate procurement-related risks.
  • Exposure to data analysis and procurement performance metrics.
