This role is responsible for promoting risk management and fostering a culture of safety, security, and compliance within IKEA Etobicoke and Toronto Downtown. Key responsibilities include implementing Ingka Rules and local legislation, conducting internal investigations, and coordinating crisis management.
Ansvarsområden
- Promote risk management in the unit and develop risk-aware decision taking.
- Create a Risk & Compliance culture by developing leadership and a conscious approach to identifying, analysing, and reducing business loss.
- Secure the implementation and follow-through of Ingka Rules and Local legislation.
- Conduct internal investigations, analysing unit processes and data in collaboration with local and country stakeholders.
- Coordinate the Unit Crisis Management Team for the handling of any emergency cases.
- Act as the single point of contact for all matters connected to Risk & Compliance when it comes from Authorities.
- Coordinate external vendors and appropriate vendor management to ensure proactive mitigation of risk.
Krav
- Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams in Risk Management, Health & Safety, Compliance, Security, Loss Prevention, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
- Proven ability to build trusted partnerships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- Experience fostering a strong culture of safety, security, accountability, and compliance.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to assess risks and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to lead through change and adapt to different teams, customer profiles, and operational environments.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills.
- Agile mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
