Amazon seeks a highly analytical Business Analyst II for its Verification & Risk Management Operations (VRMO) team. Responsibilities include analyzing business decisions, troubleshooting issues, communicating findings, and leveraging large datasets with tools like SQL, Python, and data visualization platforms. Ansvarsområden

  • Analyse business decisions and troubleshoot issues.
  • Communicate findings effectively across different teams.
  • Raise the technical bar of the globally distributed analytics team.
  • Provide data wrangling expertise and deep understanding of data fundamentals.
  • Work with and synthesising very large datasets.
  • Utilize multiple externally and internally developed data platforms, including real-time platforms.
  • Experiment with and use LLMs and agents for critical requirements.
  • Discover and solve complicated problems, learn complex systems, work with numbers, and organise and communicate work.
  • Work comfortably using SQL, QuickSight/Tableau/PowerBI and scripting languages (Python/JavaScript).
  • Design data schemas for Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Engineers.
  • Demonstrate organisation skills, self-discipline, diligence, and time management.
  • Communicate complex technical problems in simple plain stories (written and spoken English).
  • Automate manual data processes, including data quality and validation.
  • Create reports using reporting tools like Quicksight or Tableau.
  • Translate ambiguous work-streams into tangible requirements and success metrics.
  • Build metrics and metrics decks.
  • Earn trust among widely differing stakeholders.
  • Use LLMs and Agents for efficiency improvement.

Krav

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
  • Experience with Excel
  • Using LLMs will be critical requirement for this role as it needs experimentation and agent experience.
