Alstom seeks a full-time Bogie/CAD Industrial Designer in Saint-Bruno, QC. The role involves developing and validating innovative bogie solutions using 3D CAD, creating technical specifications, and supporting production and testing. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2-3 years of experience are preferred.

Ansvarsområden

  • Create 3D models and technical specifications for innovative bogie solutions.
  • Support production and testing phases.
  • Carry out feasibility reviews for bogie and master plans during tender phases.
  • Perform definition reviews and manage technical objects (e.g., nomenclatures, status).
  • Develop 3D models and conduct pre-calculations for sizing.
  • Write technical specifications and definition plans.
  • Prepare responses to tender clause-by-clause requirements.
  • Participate in product testing and ensure quality interfaces.

Krav

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience or understanding of general and technological mechanics.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD design.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., welding, machining, design of molded or forged parts).
  • Familiarity with material resistance concepts and cost optimization principles.
  • A strong sense of rigor, autonomy, and respect for deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills, adaptability, and open-mindedness.
  • Proficiency in French and English is required.

  • Knowledge of a third language is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of a language other than French is an asset to facilitate communication with international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and clients.
