Qualcomm is looking for a BizAI Tech Functional Engineer to join their Enterprise AI Engineering organization in San Diego. This role involves translating business processes into AI-driven solutions on the BizAI platform, requiring a blend of technical skill and functional fluency. The position is full-time and requires 5 days per week onsite.
Ansvarsområden
- Serve as the technical-functional bridge between business stakeholders (Finance, Sales, SCM) and the AI engineering team.
- Design and deliver AI-driven agents, natural-language Q&A experiences, and agentic automations.
- Build and extend workflow automations using n8n, integrating with various enterprise systems.
- Develop and integrate against the FastAPI and micro-frontend SDK.
- Configure and tune Databricks Genie / QGenie-powered natural-language querying.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise governance, SOX, auditability, SSO/RBAC, and data-level security requirements.
- Define and apply automation and agent standards.
- Support adoption through office hours, enablement, and hands-on guidance.
- Collaborate on process optimization and process-mining opportunities.
Krav
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, OR Master's degree and 3+ years, OR PhD and 2+ years.
- 2+ years of work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
- 9+ years of experience in software/automation engineering, solutions engineering, or technical-functional roles.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business/functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI / AI agent development and natural-language analytics.
- Strong programming skills in Python and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with agentic runtimes and workflow frameworks such as n8n, LangGraph, or Agno.
- Experience building against API services (e.g., FastAPI) and integrating with data platforms (Databricks, Oracle, SQL/NoSQL).
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
- Solid understanding of enterprise systems, authentication mechanisms (SSO/OIDC), role-based access, and security best practices.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Functional domain knowledge in Finance, Sales, Supply chain processes.
- Experience with natural-language-to-SQL / Genie-style querying over governed datasets.
- Background in business process optimization and process mining.
- Experience integrating and extending RPA platforms (e.g., Automation Anywhere, UiPath) into agentic frameworks.
- Prior experience in a matrixed, global organization with distributed teams.
- Knowledge of workflow orchestration, event-driven architectures, and microservices/micro-frontends.
- Exposure to AI platform engineering and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers.
- Rust a plus.
