Alstom is seeking a full-time Bid Technical Manager for its Bangalore office. The role involves leading the engineering aspects of tender processes, managing technical risks, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This position requires a degree in Engineering and experience in the rail industry, focusing on product architecture, costing, and risk assessment.

Ansvarsområden

  • Spearhead engineering aspects of tender processes.
  • Ensure seamless integration and communication with the core tender team.
  • Manage internal interfaces.
  • Work closely with teams like Product Development and Project Management.
  • Oversee the creation of technical documentation for tender submissions.
  • Analyze customer requirements, identify product gaps, and define strategic solutions.
  • Manage technical risks with a robust action plan.
  • Functional management of the engineering team allocated to tenders.
  • Manage technical exchanges with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Build up the engineering proposal, including QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery).
  • Establish and validate engineering commitments such as master planning, costing, and risk management.
  • Ensure alignment with the Site Engineering Director and Bid Manager on engineering assumptions.
  • Advocate a customer-oriented approach in all technical dealings.

Krav

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience or understanding of product architecture, operation, and performance within the rail industry.
  • Knowledge of train operation, maintenance, and design-to-cost principles.
  • Familiarity with the engineering development DFQ sequences and tender processes.
  • Proven experience in engineering costing and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
