Nordea is seeking an experienced Back-end Developer for their Martech & Sales Technology department in Helsinki, Finland. This full-time, permanent role involves designing and developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot in a microservices architecture, with a focus on leveraging AI-assisted development practices. The position offers a hybrid working model and the opportunity to impact millions of customers across the Nordics.

Ansvarsområden

  • Designing and developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot in a modern microservices architecture
  • Taking ownership of solution design and technical architecture for complex features and components
  • Collaborating closely with business stakeholders and analysts to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
  • Using AI-assisted (e.g. GitHub Copilot, internal agents) development practices to improve engineering productivity
  • Supporting the team with technical leadership, code quality practices, and modern engineering standards (Test-Driven Development, design patterns)

Krav

  • Strong experience with latest Java and Spring Framework
  • Experience designing and building microservice-based systems
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture and modern development practices
  • Experience adapting AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot or similar) or agents into everyday development workflows, such as code generation, refactoring, documentation, or test creation

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Familiarity with frontend development
  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
  • Comfortable working with Test-Driven Development
