Arla Foods Ingredients seeks an Associate Scientist for an 18-month maternity cover role in New Product Development (NPD). This on-site position in Videbæk, Denmark, involves leading NPD projects from lab-scale prototyping to production implementation, requiring a Master's degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience. The role emphasizes scientific curiosity, collaboration, and structured, data-driven problem-solving.

Ansvarsområden

  • Act as technical lead in NPD projects, responsible for designing, scaling, and validating new processes.
  • Transform process, ingredient, and application insights into robust process and product designs.
  • Plan, design, and execute trials at laboratory, pilot, and production scale.
  • Analyze and interpret complex process data, translating results into clear conclusions and recommendations.
  • Develop samples, fractions, and prototypes, coordinating analyses across R&D and quality control.
  • Prepare technical reports to support development, scale-up, and handover to supply chain.
  • Collaborate across research, application, production, quality, commercial, and IP teams.

Krav

  • Master’s degree in process engineering, food science, dairy science, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related life science discipline.
  • One to two years of experience in product or process development within the food, dairy, ingredients, or another relevant process industry.
  • Practical experience with process development, experimental design, and data analysis at laboratory, pilot, or production scale.
  • Experience with membrane filtration (MF, UF, NF, RO) or other relevant fractionation technology is valuable.
  • Scientifically curious with an interest in how processes, ingredients, and applications connect.
  • Collaborative and confident in engaging with technicians, scientists, and stakeholders.
  • Structured and data-driven approach to planning experiments, solving problems, and documenting work.
  • Proficient communication in both Danish and English, verbally and in writing.
