Saab Australia is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support the end-to-end delivery of projects and sub-projects within Engineering & Sustainment Services. The role involves managing scope, schedule, cost, and quality, while ensuring clear communication with stakeholders and facilitating customer alignment. The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Science, Engineering, or Business, and experience in systems project leadership and project documentation.

Ansvarsområden

  • Assist the Project Manager and Project Management Team in project delivery.
  • Manage assigned scope of work, including schedule, cost, and quality outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and delegation to the team.
  • Develop project approaches to achieve contractual objectives and identify opportunities.
  • Prepare, monitor, and revise project plans, estimates, cost accounts, and schedules.
  • Assess risks related to assigned scope.
  • Lead and present status at Steering Committee Meetings, Gate Reviews, Customer Reviews, and Progress Meetings.
  • Manage contract variations and scope changes.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of solution use.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders.

Krav

  • Tertiary qualifications in Science, Engineering, or a business discipline.
  • Experience meeting the competency level required for the role.
  • Experience in the leadership of systems projects.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the lifecycle of system development projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead staff within a team environment and foster cooperation.
  • Proven ability in internal and external customer liaison.
  • Experience in producing and reviewing project documentation.
  • Demonstrated scheduling and planning skills.
  • Experience in Cost Schedule System Reporting (CSSR) or related Earned Value Management system.
  • Must be an Australian citizen.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level.
