Emerson is seeking an Assistant Manager for Casting & Forging in Pune, India. This on-site role involves managing purchase orders, collaborating with suppliers, and optimizing the Procure to Pay (P2P) cycle. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering and at least 7 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, with specific experience in casting/forging commodities.

Ansvarsområden

  • Review purchase requisitions and release purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Collaborate with local and overseas suppliers to ensure material availability and maintain service levels above 95%.
  • Proactively identify risks and escalate challenges to meet expected deliveries.
  • Periodically review and update master data including KANBAN maintained in the system.
  • Coordinate with planning, global supply chain, stores, logistics, quality, production, and finance teams to resolve P2P cycle issues.
  • Implement ECN actions and identify/mitigate supply chain challenges.
  • Attend internal and external audits.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for optimal lead times and costs.
  • Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly/annual management information reports related to supply chain.
  • Support and motivate team members.
  • Suggest and implement improvements in the P2P process.

Krav

  • Degree in Mechanical, Production engineering or any related or equivalent field.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in purchasing / procurement / supply chain.
  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in handling casting / forging commodities.
  • Detailed understanding of supply chain processes and commercial terms.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of import process and outsourcing process.
  • Exposure to procuring fabricated and buyout parts.
  • Capable of describing and documenting processes.

  • Detailed foundry process knowledge is an advantage.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Technical aptitude including strong data gathering interpretation.
