As an Assembler at Alfa Laval, you will position and install components, use hand and power tools, and follow blueprints to assemble products like coolers. This full-time, on-site role in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma requires basic math skills, the ability to read a tape measure and calipers, and a high school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience with industrial machines, forklift operation, and overhead cranes is also preferred.

Ansvarsområden

Positions parts and subassemblies by reading blueprints and instructions.
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit.
Operates hand and power tools to connect parts.
Performs tube installation and rolling operations.
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
Provides needed material(s) to various workstations and/or locations.
Loads and unloads trucks, units and parts.
Operates cut saws, drill presses, and punch press, as needed to fabricate parts and subassemblies.
Use precision measuring devices to check quality of work.
Safely rigs structure and material for movement by overhead crane.
Responsible for maintaining a clean work area both during and at the end of each work shift.
Prioritizes safety and adheres to company-wide safety policies and procedures.
Conducts themselves with professionalism, courtesy, and cooperation.

Krav

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
1 year of professional experience related to manufacturing preferred.
Basic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure and callipers required.
Demonstrated ability to read blueprints preferred.
Experience using industrial machines preferred.
Forklift operation certification preferred.
Overhead crane experience preferred.
Demonstrates proficiency in one or more of the following equipment: radial drills, fin tube machinery, large vertical band saw, presses, breaks and shears.
Ability to regularly exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and 30 lbs of force frequently.
Ability to stand or walk 80% of the workday.
Required visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
Ability to lift raw materials, assemblies, and equipment using lifts, or manually up to 50 lbs.
Ability to use an overhead crane for items over 50lbs.
Ability to climb ladders, bend, squat, and use mechanic type of tools.
Ability to perform tasks requiring mobility & posture: Standing, walking, crouching, stooping, kneeling, and balancing on varied surfaces.
Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity: Reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, and lifting objects using upper body strength.
Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills: Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers for precision tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively through speech and hearing.
Ability to have adequate hearing to distinguish sounds and spoken communication in a work environment.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment: steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
Ability to work near hazards: moving machinery, vehicles, electrical currents, and chemicals.
Ability to operate in confined spaces such as narrow aisles or passageways.
Candidates must reside in the US or have an established presence in the area.
