Volvo Truck & Bus is seeking motivated individuals for their Apprentice HGV Technician program at London Heathrow, starting in 2027. This 32-month Advanced Level Apprenticeship offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology and comprehensive training, leading to a Level 3 qualification.

Ansvarsområden

  • Assist with repairs according to Volvo Standard Times using Volvo Special Tools.
  • Participate in the fault diagnosis process.
  • Learn and comply with warranty procedures.
  • Work with the parts team to ensure correct parts are fitted.
  • Learn to use Volvo special tools safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with workshop cleaning.
  • Ensure company time recording procedures are complied with and job cards are completed accurately.
  • Report all vehicle defects to the workshop Supervisor.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Attend college courses regularly and achieve required standards.
  • Attend technical or development training made available.

Krav

  • Enthusiastic individuals with a strong interest in heavy vehicles.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and a desire to learn.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a team player mentality.
  • Desired qualifications: GCSE A* to C/Grade 4 in Math and English.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Advanced Level Apprenticeship.
  • Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Level 3 qualification upon completion.
  • Apprenticeship Standard Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician - Bus, Coach and HGV.
