We are looking for an Application Owner to support Nordea Life & Pension Sweden in the maintenance and continued development of our core insurance system, Lumera. This is a key role for someone with deep insurance expertise, extensive experience from the insurance industry and a strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

As an Application Owner you will have an important role in Nordea Life & Pension´s Swedish Product & Offerings team.

What you’ll be doing

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Drive the maintenance, development and long-term roadmap for Lumera in close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders
  • Act as the key link between business and IT, ensuring that solutions meet regulatory, operational and customer needs while remaining technically sound and sustainable
  • Work closely with vendors, internal specialists and cross-functional teams to secure quality, prioritization and efficient delivery
  • Take ownership of application-related priorities, improvements and follow-up to ensure Lumera continues to support Nordea Life & Pension’s strategic ambitions

Who you are 

This is the right role for you if you bring a collaborative mindset, strong ownership and the confidence to navigate in a complex environment with many stakeholders. You combine solid business understanding with a good grasp of technical needs, and you are comfortable working at the intersection of insurance operations, change and IT. You are structured, pragmatic and able to build trust across teams while keeping focus on delivering long-term value.

Your background and skills include:

  • Extensive experience from the insurance industry and strong end-to-end insurance domain knowledge
  • Solid hands-on experience of working with Lumera in a business-critical environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across business, technology and external partners
  • Good understanding of both business requirements and technical dependencies, with the ability to turn needs into clear priorities and actions

It would be ideal if you also:

  • Have experience from application ownership, application management or a similar coordinating role
  • Bring experience from working in a regulated environment with high demands on quality, stability and compliance
  • Have deep knowledge of collective agreed occupational pension solutions and related insurance processes
