Synopsys is seeking a Staff Application Engineer in Italy to drive innovation in chip design. This role involves leading technical activities in the sales cycle, guiding customers on Ansys solutions, and developing professional services. Ansvarsområden
- Lead and coordinate all technical activities throughout the sales cycle, including discovery, technical negotiations, product demonstrations, and evaluations.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their product development requirements and provide expert guidance on utilizing Ansys solutions to achieve superior performance metrics.
- Develop and deliver professional services, including training sessions and hands-on workshops, to enhance customer productivity and adoption of simulation methodologies.
- Collaborate with product development teams to translate customer needs into new features and participate in testing and validation of new software releases.
- Support marketing initiatives by creating promotional materials, authoring conference presentations, and participating in industry events.
- Contribute to the development of application best practices and lead the implementation of Ansys solutions into customer design workflows.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical mentorship to colleagues and customers, and staying current with advancements in structural mechanics and simulation technology.
Krav
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 5 years (BS), 3 years (MS), or relevant (PhD) professional experience in an engineering software environment.
- Demonstrate experience with Ansys Mechanical/MAPDL, LSDyna and Discovery Simulation or equivalent CAE, CAD, EDA, or PLM software packages.
- Proven expertise in Mechanical Linear and Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Proven expertise in Pre-processing procedure, with particular focus on Geometry handling for FEA
- Agile in Scripting Languages for Science (Python ecosystem preferred)
- Fluency in English and Italian with strong written and verbal communication skills (additional language skills are welcomed).
- Demonstrated experience (2+ years) in the Design of products and Analysis of performance as a simulation engineer.
- Ability to travel up to 25% (and potentially up to 50%) of the time, domestic and abroad.
