I korthet

As an Application Engineer III with Amazon B2B Payments, Invoicing & Lending (ABPX), you will troubleshoot and fix production software issues, develop automation tools, and implement code fixes primarily in Java and Ruby. This role involves working with distributed systems, supporting software deployments, and contributing to operational excellence for large-scale payment systems.

Ansvarsområden

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix production software issues.
  • Develop tools, automation, and monitoring solutions.
  • Perform software maintenance and configuration.
  • Implement fixes for internally developed code (JAVA and Ruby with Rails).
  • Update, track, and resolve technical challenges.
  • Improve operational excellence and readiness of systems.
  • Provide support for incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting.
  • Work on operations and maintenance driven coding projects (Ruby, Rails, Java, Python, shell scripts, AWS, web technologies).
  • Support software deployment in staging and production environments.
  • Develop GenAI tools to aid operations and maintenance.
  • Provide system and support status reporting.
  • Take ownership of one or more applications or components.
  • Troubleshoot and mitigate Service Level issues.
  • Fix and automate manual processes.
  • Resolve customer issues related to services through configuration or code changes.
  • Collaborate with Dev team for support and development issues.
  • Create a team-specific knowledge base and skill set.

Krav

  • 3+ years of software development or 3+ years of technical support experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
  • Experience in development or technical support.
  • Experience scripting in one or more language (e.g. Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby).
