I korthet

Emerson seeks an Application Engineer in Chennai to support the Special Products Group. Responsibilities include providing quotes, reviewing specifications, and estimating costs for engineered products. This role requires in-depth knowledge of control valves and at least 3 years of experience in control valves engineering.

Ansvarsområden

  • Provide quotes for Engineered products and custom specials.
  • Review the spec sheet & ensure the selection is good to proceed for pricing.
  • Understand Fisher global suppliers' capabilities and limitations to evaluate the possibility of manufacturing an Engineered product.
  • Understand the basic costing techniques and estimate the cost for the required valve assemblies/parts.
  • Establish a good relationship with Fisher sales team.
  • Share technical information in internal training sessions.

Krav

  • In-depth knowledge of control valve products and industry application.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in control valves engineering.
  • Good understanding of product specifications and Costing process.
  • Develop and present innovative solutions for problems.
  • Optimizes work processes and improves performance metrics.
  • Awareness of other Emerson products & Good knowledge of Inactive/obsolete/Competitor products.
  • Effective team player for on-time project submission.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Knowledge on Fisher products and accessories is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ready to take up any new challenges.
  • Time management, Problem Solving and decision-making Skills.
