Qualcomm seeks a Staff Engineer to focus on Android performance and power optimization. This role involves in-depth software stack analysis, CPU architecture understanding, and performance bottleneck resolution, using programming languages like C/C++ and Assembly.

Ansvarsområden

  • Develop and optimize software for high performance and low power leveraging CPU Architecture knowledge.
  • Run application benchmarks and perform pre- and post-silicon verification for performance and power goals.
  • Analyze software workloads to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Debug and address software performance issues.
  • Collaborate with CPU, DSP, and Compiler teams to meet performance requirements.
  • Write detailed technical documentation and test descriptions.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • 10+ years of Software Engineering or related experience.
  • Excellent programming skills in C/C++/Assembly/Scripting.
  • In-depth understanding of software stack - Linux Internals/device drivers.
  • Strong understanding of Computer architecture and Operating system concepts.
  • Good performance work /ARM /Database optimization /Load balance /Library optimization/Algorithm Optimization/High Level/ Optimized libraries.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience with Android and power performance is preferred.
  • Experience with "No Web server only", one windows and one Android + power performance/Optimized libraries.
