Alfa Laval is seeking an Accountant in Richmond, VA for a hybrid, full-time role. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting and 3+ years of experience in financial reporting and general ledger management. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Ansvarsområden
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries and cost allocations.
- Participate in month-end close and review of financial results.
- Prepare and analyze periodic reporting for Alfa Laval Inc and other subsidiaries.
- Collect additional information necessary for statutory closing reporting.
- Prepare account reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
- Investigate and correct errors or inconsistencies in financial entries or reports.
- Prepare bank reconciliations.
- Provide ad hoc financial reports, analysis and projects as requested.
- Support other team members in day-to-day processes.
- Document and update standard operating procedures for all owned processes.
- Identify potential process improvements.
- Be responsible for data warehouse maintenance.
- Assist with auditor requests.
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts within area of responsibility (e.g. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger).
- Maintain accurate accounting within area of responsibility to be in line with accounting principles and reporting schedules.
- Produce accounting reports and present results.
- Collaborate with counterparts in the finance processes (e.g. Finance Shared Service Center personnel or personnel within Local Finance).
Krav
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant accounting / financial reporting experience.
- Knowledge of standard accounting principles, best practices, and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of general ledger structure.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong time-management, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills.
- Highest level of integrity and trust.
- Dedication to excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in order to meet deadlines and goals.
- Team player.
