Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the daily work of the team/shift.
- Monitor processes and performance in the team/shift.
- Act as a liaison between the team, support functions, and management.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of key processes and tools within the cell.
- Close competence gaps through training/coaching and SOP audit dialogues.
- Control quality, deviations, and line stops.
- Focus on waste elimination and improvements.
- Drive meetings within the cell, including shift handover and cell meetings.
- Perform daily work as a team member.
- Create and follow a detailed plan for the cell.
- Support team members with immediate problem-solving when needed.
- Prioritize safety and adhere to company-wide safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct oneself with professionalism, courtesy, and cooperation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred with relevant experience.
- 1 year of experience from Alfa Laval production/manufacturing/distribution.
- Training skills.
- Office computer skills.
- Good knowledge of SOPs and processes within the team.
- Basic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints.
- Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), if PAPR is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience using multiple welding and cutting processes.
- Manufacturing experience required; industry background preferred.
- Proficient in MIG welding and oxyacetylene torch use.
- Experienced with hand tools, drill/saw machinery, and overhead crane operation.
- Forklift certification preferred.
