Saab Australia is seeking a Weapons Engineer for their Combat Systems Integration team in Adelaide. This role involves the installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Above Water Weapons systems for naval platforms. Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and management of system requirements analysis for test systems.
- Ensure all test & integration records are maintained in Configuration Management (CM), including contributing to VCRM and RTM.
- Utilise test tools effectively to undertake test, integration and verification, diagnosing problems and analysing results.
- Assess equipment material and tooling issues, and develop solutions.
- Lead test activities and record results from integration test activities.
- Prepare Set to Work and Installation and Checkout procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years engineering experience, including exposure to complex, software-intensive and/or mission-critical systems.
- Previous exposure in the Integration, Installation, Test and Evaluation of CS Weapon Systems into Naval Platforms or equivalent complex Military Systems.
- Practitioner’s level of experience in Systems Engineering (Requirements Management, System Architecture, Systems Integration, and/or Verification and Validation).
- Proficiency in using systems engineering software tools and simulation environments (e.g. DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to clearly convey technical information in both written and verbal forms.
- Must be an Australian citizen.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.

- Bachelor's degree preferably within the defence industry.
- Defence domain experience desirable.
