Atlas Copco is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative for their Wolverhampton, UK location. The role involves managing deliveries, inventory, order picking, packing, and dispatch, as well as coordinating shipments and assisting with stock takes. A Counterbalance Forklift license and computer literacy are required.
Responsibilities
- Receive all deliveries, unpack goods, check and distribute to the relevant person or department.
- Stock inventory and parts, ensuring goods receipt and correct placement in storage locations (physical and SAP).
- Pick, pack, and despatch orders from local stock.
- Arrange transport for the despatch of customer orders and shipments to CSW (Central Service Workshop), including necessary documentation.
- Ensure all outbound deliveries have the correct paperwork attached.
- Load outbound trailers for onward shipments, customer despatches, or return shipments to suppliers.
- Arrange specialist transportation for parts, materials, and equipment to and from customer sites.
- Arrange delivery and return of demo units/equipment to customer sites as directed.
- Assist with stock takes, recording location and description of all items.
- Track and report TAT of all shipments with CSW/PTD, escalating delays with freight companies and CSW.
- Resolve shipment delays with freight companies and CSW/PTD.
- Provide shipment delay information to the service admin team for customer updates.
- Run weekly reports and place orders for required parts.
- Ensure disposal of all scrapped goods and fluids in line with environmental policies and legal requirements.
Requirements
- Computer literate.
- Able to work with the companies operating systems of SAP and SPIRIT (current systems) – full training will be provided.
- Strong organisational and planning ability.
- Good communication skills.
- Customer focussed.
- Counterbalance Forklift licence.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
