As a Warehouse Co-worker at IKEA in Port Wentworth, Georgia, you will perform essential warehouse functions such as picking, packing, shipping, and receiving. This full-time, on-site role focuses on accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction, contributing to efficient supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform core warehouse processes including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment, and storing of goods with a focus on accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Execute daily operations effectively using available systems and tools to support efficient workflows and maintain data integrity.
  • Unload, process, and handle inbound and outbound merchandise safely, securing goods for proper movement throughout the distribution center.
  • Identify, document, and remove any damages found or caused during handling of merchandise.
  • Contribute to goal setting for overall warehouse operations and support implementation of local business plans and improvement projects.
  • Analyze daily and seasonal workload demands to ensure efficient volume handling and resource planning.
  • Support high goods availability through timely and precise execution of assigned tasks.
  • Work in a lean, simple, and cost-conscious manner, sharing good practices to optimize daily operations.
  • Follow all IKEA health, safety, and security rules, actively helping to prevent incidents involving co-workers, customers, equipment, and products.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and take responsibility for additional tasks or projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./30kgs ergonomically.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Fluent in English and local language, both written and spoken.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse and forklift experience is preferred, but not required.
