Assemble and test valves, actuators, and associated equipment according to technical drawings and quality plans. This role requires practical experience in mechanical assembly, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred qualifications include a trade qualification and experience with quality assurance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble manual, actuated, and automated valves, actuators, positioners, and associated flow control equipment.
  • Test valves and pump equipment using workshop test rigs to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Select and use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and components safely.
  • Interpret technical drawings, quality documentation, and special instructions.
  • Record time, job progress, and documentation in accordance with Emerson quality systems.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
  • Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
  • Participate in daily huddles and planning meetings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across operations, quality, and service teams.

Requirements

  • Practical experience in mechanical assembly, repair, or refurbishment of valves, pumps, or similar industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings, quality plans, and work instructions.
  • Experience using hand and power tools in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
  • A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Attention to detail and a quality-focused approach to work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to follow standard processes, record work accurately, and contribute to a tidy, safe workplace.

Desired Qualifications

  • Trade qualification or equivalent practical experience in mechanical or industrial equipment assembly.
  • Experience with quality assurance systems and structured production environments.
  • Forklift licence, dogging ticket, or other relevant high-risk work licences.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise systems.
  • Valve product knowledge or experience within flow control, oil & gas, water, or process industries.
