Alstom is seeking a full-time Traction System Team Leader (f/m/d) in Zürich to lead a team of eight traction system engineers. Responsibilities
- Lead eight traction system engineers.
- Manage team members and onboard new talent.
- Plan and assign resources for execution and development projects.
- Lead the People Management Cycle (PMC), including development planning, objective setting, and performance assessments.
- Promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical and process expertise to support project execution.
- Develop team members' technical and leadership skills.
- Ensure the application and improvement of standard processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Work closely with teams across the business (e.g., project management, engineering, and operations).
Requirements
- Engineer degree HF, FH or higher (Electrical).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the traction systems domain.
- Preferred experience in team and project management (at least 3 years).
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate technical teams.
- Structured, solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience managing priorities and conflicts.
- Customer and product-oriented thinking.
- Fluent in German and English (reading, writing, and technical discussions).
Desired Qualifications
- Leadership training (CAS or equivalent) is a plus.
