Responsibilities

Design a robust architecture for asynchronous remote control.
Manage system logic and states locally on a boat while synchronizing with the cloud.
Develop a system (Digital Twin) where commands are queued and executed upon regaining network connectivity.
Investigate conflict handling between remote commands and manual onboard adjustments.

Requirements

Master's level thesis work (30 ECTS points).
Knowledge in Computer Networks, Telecommunications Engineering, Systems Architecture, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Cloud Computing, or Cybersecurity.
Familiarity with TCP/IP, Wireless communication, Distributed systems, Edge computing, Cloud architecture, Network protocols, Digital twins, and Synchronization algorithms.

Desired Qualifications
