The Test Lead is responsible for planning, deploying, and managing testing efforts to meet quality standards, collaborating with clients and internal teams on specifications and performance concerns. This role involves developing manual testing strategies, creating test plans and documentation, mentoring QA engineers, and ensuring timely delivery of projects with high quality.

Responsibilities

Engage in functional and technical discussions with clients and teams to comprehend functional and design specifications, identify performance concerns, and ensure appropriate test environments are maintained.
Prepare manual test cases and facilitate their execution.
Develop and continuously enhance manual testing strategies and processes as new system features and enhancements are introduced.
Create work plans and monitor progress to ensure on-time delivery in accordance with established quality standards.
Create reusable and scalable test documentation and develop comprehensive test plans.
Maintain test data and submit status reports to identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Mentor and guide QA engineers in the application of the testing framework, enhancing their technical skills and increasing overall team productivity.

Requirements

Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and tools.
Solid understanding of Embedded C and C++ concepts.
Familiarity with test case design and test management tools.
Basic knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Qualifications

Optional but valuable certifications in ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) or equivalent in software testing.
Agile or Scrum certification is a plus.
