Alfa Laval is seeking an experienced Technical Lead for their IoT Development Team in Pune, India. This role involves leading technical design, mentoring engineers, and hands-on software development for IoT solutions, focusing on C#, .NET, and Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of software development experience and a passion for building high-quality, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead technical design, solution definition, and estimation activities.
Mentor engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and testing practices.
Collaborate across teams and stakeholders to align solutions and manage dependencies.
Support the full software development lifecycle, including implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
Actively participate in hands-on software development and technical problem solving.
Ensure solutions meet requirements for performance, usability, maintainability, stability, and cybersecurity.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of strong experience in software development.
5+ years of strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core.
Experience designing and delivering backend or distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with Docker.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure is highly preferred.
Experience working in Agile development teams.
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Experience mentoring developers and driving technical progress within a team.
Experience collaborating across teams and managing technical dependencies.
Experience supporting the software lifecycle, including deployment, maintenance, and handover.
Experience working with APIs and service-based architectures.
Experience monitoring, logging, diagnostics, and troubleshooting production systems.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with Angular or another frontend technology.
Experience with Python or another scripting language.
Experience working with IoT, edge, cloud-connected, telemetry-based or industrial monitoring solutions/data flows.
Hands-on experience with Linux-based environments.
Experience with time-series databases such as TimescaleDB or InfluxDB.
Experience with deployments, pipelines, and operational handovers.
Experience using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
Experience with microservices, messaging, or event-driven systems.
