Amazon is looking for an Operations Team Lead in Ahmedabad, Gujarat to drive sortation and line haul infrastructure. This role involves defining transportation processes, managing sortation team bandwidth, conducting performance appraisals, and continuously improving delivery performance through data analysis and process improvement mechanisms like Kaizen.

Responsibilities

Defining the transportation process from FC to delivery stations
Ensuring sufficient bandwidth in the sortation team for peak time delivery management
Conducting performance appraisals of station supervisors and mentoring them for efficient operations
Continuously improving throughput and attaining sustained delivery performance improvement
Analyzing data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance
Implementing formal process control and process improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen
Identifying new routes for sortation & line haul infrastructure

Requirements

Any Graduation
Experience in logistics field is desirable
Experience in the courier industry is highly preferred
People management experience
Experience in handling field teams is highly desirable
Experience in handling live operations is preferred
Experience in process improvement is preferred
Knowledge of specific methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kaizen is a plus
Strong leadership capabilities and people management skills
Strong execution skills, action-oriented, go-getter
Resourceful to identify ways to get things done using limited resources
Speak, write, and read fluently in English
Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
Experience with Excel

Desired Qualifications

1+ years of customer-facing environment, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing experience
