Responsibilities
- Assist with global CbC, EU and Australia Public CbC, OECD Pillar 2 compliance and reporting.
- Review international tax calculations like GILTI/NCTI, BEAT, Subpart F, Dual Consolidated Losses (DCL), Foreign Tax Credit, FDII.
- Review US International tax forms 5471, 8858, 8992, 8993, 8621 and other international reporting forms.
- Identify opportunities and drive process improvements by leveraging Gen AI and technology tools for automation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across various teams within and outside of tax.
- Work with advanced cloud-based calculation models to ingest, manipulate, and analyze large datasets for Reporting & Compliance.
- Research international tax issues and work with outside advisers to support business initiatives.
- Draft responses and provide tax-technical support to Amazon’s U.S. and international tax controversy teams in tax audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in international tax at a Big 4 / public accounting firm or a multinational corporation (MNC).
- Demonstrated experience applying Generative AI tools to automate or optimize tax or finance workflows.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel including complex formulas, pivot tables, and experience managing large datasets (100K+ rows).
Desired Qualifications
- CPA or CA.
- Understanding of ASC 740 accounting for income taxes.
- Interest in using technology tools to process large data sets.
- Familiarity with Python, Alteryx, VBA, or other programming/scripting languages used in finance/tax environments.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and tax provision software (OneSource, Corptax, or similar).
