Responsibilities
- Lead the SCC team to reach target KPIs and keep production running efficiently.
- Lead the inventory control (IC) team, manage slow-moving parts, overflow parts, and keep inventory within scope.
- Be responsible for production material flow, inventory on purpose, and reducing high inventory.
- Perform supplier performance follow-up.
- Maintain communication with material handling and project-related departments, ensuring project launch on time and success.
- Drive process improvements, cost reduction, and implement company initiatives.
- Manage people planning, organize daily workflow, ensure accountability, recognize achievements, and handle people issues.
- Communicate job expectations clearly, provide instructions and feedback to team members.
- Provide training plans, develop know-how, coach, and execute trainings.
- Be a role model for Volvo Cars values, encourage a speak-up culture for highlighting problems and opportunities.
Requirements
- Several years of management experience in a similar position in the automotive manufacturing supply chain field.
- Lean logistics knowledge.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, 5S, Standard Work, Andon, and real-time production management.
- Excellent listening, speaking, writing, and presentation skills in English and Slovak.
- Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
- Coaching skills.
- Performance Management skills.
- Flexibility to work in a transformation period or green-field project and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred university education in Supply Chain, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
