Responsibilities
- Analyze strategic positions of Emerson peers and competitors.
- Identify strategic partners and evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Prepare strategy presentations for Emerson executives and the Emerson Board of Directors.
- Support leadership in annual strategic planning exercises and conferences.
- Perform internal consulting engagements to improve the performance of Emerson’s business units and world area organizations.
Requirements
- Completion of a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree prior to the first day of employment.
- One to three years of relevant professional experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM-designated field.
- Preferred STEM fields include, but are not limited to, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Science, and other closely related technical disciplines.
- Demonstrated leadership potential.
- Ambition to take on complex and challenging problems.
- Curiosity to learn and build your network.
- Ability to acquire data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems.
- Ability to anticipate future trends and implications accurately.
- Effective communication in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.
