Emerson is seeking a motivated intern for a 6-month Stage Lean Analyst position in Lugagnano Val d'Arda, Italy. This role involves supporting operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives through data analysis, process improvement, and contributing to digital solutions. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing or has recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and has a strong interest in data analysis and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Support analysis of business processes to identify improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and IT teams to understand business needs and support digital initiatives.
- Assist in translating operational requirements into process maps, functional specifications, and project documentation.
- Contribute to project planning, tracking activities, stakeholder coordination, and progress reporting.
- Support testing, validation, deployment, and user adoption activities for new digital solutions.
- Collect, organize, clean, and analyze data from different business systems and databases.
- Assist in the creation of reports, dashboards, and performance indicators to support decision-making.
- Participate in initiatives related to Lean methodologies, continuous improvement, advanced analytics, and AI-driven solutions.
- Contribute to innovation projects supporting Emerson’s digital manufacturing and Smart Factory journey.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in Operational Excellence, digital transformation, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and confidence working with data.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good English language skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Academic projects, thesis work, internships, or extracurricular activities related to manufacturing, operations, digital transformation, or process improvement.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Python, or similar analytical tools.
- Interest in Industry 4.0, Smart Factory technologies, advanced analytics, or Artificial Intelligence applications.
- Knowledge of Lean principles, Agile methodologies, or continuous improvement approaches.
