Alfa Laval is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Pune to handle medium to high complexity projects within the EPC industry. The role requires a Graduate Engineer with 15+ years of experience in project management, strong knowledge of process industries, and proficiency in project management tools like MS Project.

Responsibilities

Manage project development from engineering through handover, following 6 Basics and World Class Project Management principles.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables based on contracts, estimate resources, and develop project plans with timelines and milestones.
Develop communication documents, deliver progress reports, purchase proposals, requirements, and documentation.
Proactively manage scope changes, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Coordinate implementation of best practices for project execution and management.
Estimate and submit budget proposals, and manage subsequent budget changes.
Coordinate with relevant departments for smooth project execution.
Set and manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
Escalate issues in a timely manner.
Organize weekly Project Followup Meetings and ensure updated status is available online.
Review and approve the Financial Status Report monthly with accurate financial data and detailed PM evaluation.
Provide timely financial information to the Controller (cost provisions, LD, etc.).
Motivate and supervise project team members (internal and external) to achieve project timelines.
Attend meetings with customers, consultants, and external suppliers.
Coordinate for effective project closure and handover to the customer and internal Services team.
Support ISO Certification by adhering to related processes/work instructions.
As a Manager, stimulate, motivate, and inspire people through engagement.
Discuss with EM to ensure optimal deployment of team members based on competencies and project requirements.
Mentor and coach new PMs.
Implement standards and work processes.
Instil customer confidence in the quality of execution and deliverables.

Requirements

Graduate Engineer in Chemical/Mechanical/Production Stream.
15+ years of relevant experience in Project Management within the EPC industry.
Good knowledge of project management related to Process industries.
Understanding of engineering codes & standards.
Hands-on experience of ERP.
Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project or any other project management tool.
Good command of formal written and verbal communication.

Desired Qualifications

Certification in project management is desirable.
