Amazon is looking for a Sr. Manager - Profitability UDE leader to set strategy and direction for programs aimed at delivering significant financial impact through cost reduction and free cash flow. The role involves identifying and resolving vendor profit margin defects across various Amazon P&L categories.

Responsibilities

Set the strategy and direction of profitability UDE programs.
Deliver ~$1B combined free-cash-flow (FCF) and cost-out impact (COI) annually.
Identify and resolve defects impacting vendor profit margin in Amazon P&L.
Focus on vendor agreements, product cost & pricing, vendor returns, and bad actor/vendor abuse.
Unpack and define a path forward for complex charters requiring deep business knowledge and system understanding.
Orchestrate decision-making within 10+ upstream business and system owning matrix organizations.
Align seven VP organizations across multiple UDEs where no single team owns systems end-to-end.
Define defect taxonomies for defect elimination.
Actively engage with and Earn Trust of leaders across seven VP organizations.
Optimize cross-organizational priorities, resolve conflicts, and escalate timely to maximize business results.

Requirements

7+ years of team management experience
Experience managing P&L
Deep knowledge of business, various systems (e.g. CCOGS, VOPS, Pricing, VCS, Vendor Central) and regional compliance/legal nuances.
Ability to exhibit right judgment and orchestrate decision making.
Influencing without authority.
Escalation as a mechanism.
Driving consensus.
Exhibiting ownership to drive solutioning through tech and/or policy changes.
Strategic thinking capability.
Business acumen.
Change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Independent strategic thinking to identify clear problem statements in uncharted territory.
