Experienced Lead Engineer wanted for the Windows Display Team in Hyderabad to lead the design, development, and optimization of display driver software for Snapdragon platforms. This role requires strong systems and display domain expertise, hands-on execution, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Own complex display-driver features from requirements to product delivery.
- Lead root-cause analysis of display issues across software, firmware, OS, and hardware.
- Drive display bring-up and stabilization on new Snapdragon platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, graphics, power, security, validation, system, and customer-engineering teams.
- Anticipate technical risks and communicate status clearly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- 6+ years of relevant software engineering experience in embedded systems, device drivers, graphics/display, multimedia, or system software.
- Strong programming and debugging skills in C, with a solid understanding of data structures, concurrency, memory management, synchronization, and operating-system fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience developing or debugging kernel-mode or low-level device drivers on Windows, Linux, or another modern operating system.
- Experience debugging software on ARM-based SoCs or comparable embedded platforms using logs, traces, crash dumps, JTAG or hardware debuggers, and systematic fault isolation.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM).
- Experience with DirectX graphics infrastructure.
- Experience with Windows kernel concepts.
- Experience with WinDbg.
- Experience with ETW/WPP tracing.
- Experience with Windows Hardware Lab Kit workflows.
